Oh my. what a cogent thread topic. Tell me did you learn about this at Google U?
As a matter of fact I probably have used Google to access all kinds of information and have even used the access of knowledge from it in my nefarious yet rewarding on-line experiences. There's no better feeling than to post a link to a sight that validates your position in an argument.
Argument ad Google, however, can quickly become an annoyance and when an opponent is simply regurgitating information or posts a link that is only tertiarily related to the topic at hand...
i.e. http://www.google.com/options/universities.html
it can be a real waste of time to have to go hunting down your opponent's talking points that are barely visibly related and it's also a pain in the ass when they start talking like someone who is an authority on a given subject with all sorts of field specific nostrum to add to a word salad.
Thus a request for clarity can be renderred thusly: "While I found your research on this to be particularly informative do you not think you've been putting too much stock in your diploma from Google University?"
Any such variation will do so long as it makes the point that you're beginning to doubt your opponents credentials with regard to certain topics. _________________ "Here I am. Trying to put sense to it and I know there isn't any."
