After looking at the new list, I'm surprised these guys weren't mentioned yet...

THX - 1138

The musical counterpart to Pictionary. On the internet, where everyone is simply an IP number, one man challenges the system. THX - 1138 gets together with his favorite MIDI/MP3 download site, and they make beautiful music together...by posting soundclips all over the forums!
THX - 1138 rarely posts in words and uses audio clips to communicate instead. THX - 1138s are often found on Fluff Forums with the HTML turned on where they use embed tags to put music or looping sound clips in the background of threads. Multiple THX - 1138 posts can result in an annoying cacophony. On forums where the HTML is not on, THX - 1138 will resort to posting links to the soundbytes. Usually THX - 1138 posts these sounds just to be silly, like Yuk Yuk. Sometimes he's just doing it to show off his HTML prowress. However, sometimes they'll to offend, or even derail a thread. Once THX - 1138 starts causing browser crashes or screwing up the forum's coding with his embed tags, the mods will attempt to capture him.

NOTE: An easy way to get rid of impatient THX - 1138s is to constantly bug them if they have any MP3s they can give you.

CAUTION: Propeller Headed THX - 1138s can find ways to sneak around HTML disabled forums and embed their sound clips anyway.

(Example: In a flame war with the HTML turned off, THX may post a link to the "You Are an Idiot" site. In a flame war with it on, THX will embed the looping "You Are an Idiot" soundbyte in the background! Think of a bald guy in a white jumpsuit blowing away his computer with a giant stereo system.

If anybody's curious, "THX - 1138" is the movie that the THX Surround Sound System was named after.)
