Oop...thought of some new ones...
Kinda like: Eagle Scout/Netiquette Nazi
Other names: Vigilante
There have been reports of Eagle Scouts turning into Jekyll and Hydes, and the Newb Avenger can be described as the "Hyde" form. The Newb Avenger thinks that it's unfair that people are mean to Newbies, because they can't help being new and computer illiterate. Thusly, they have taken it upon themselves to defend them. Newb Avenger starts out as a cheerful, helpful member who always helps out new members and Newbies. But as soon as somebody mouths off to the hapless new person Newb Avenger jumps in and strikes. He is the sworn enemy of Jerks, Xenophobes, and Propeller Heads, as well as Evil Clowns that prey on newbs. Many Newb Avengers are not even afraid to defend new people from very powerful warriors such as Big Dogs, Swarms, Cyber-Sisters, and Royals. Admins and Nannies cannot be counted on to break up these fights, as they will sometimes take the Newb Avenger's side. New Avengers who gain power usually become Nannies themselves.
CAUTION: If on a forum rich with anti-newb attitudes, Newb Avengers may eventually turn into Rebel Leaders!
Kinda like: Jekyll and Hyde/Godzilla
Other names: The Incredible Hulk
Like Jekyll and Hyde, Time Bomb was a normal poster that suddenly went off one day. But unlike Jekyll and Hyde, Time Bomb's detonation is not caused by a sudden event, and her wrath is much more violent. Time Bomb has a secret grudge against something going on at her forum that's been festering for a long time. However, Time Bomb never makes her anger publicly known. Maybe she feels helpless, as her grudge is against a popular issue or a member of a group of Cyber-Sisters, the Royals, or even the Admin himself. Occasionally, Time Bomb may vent her anger to a friend or on her blog, but she'll never take it onto the board prior to detenation. If the object of her aggression stops or leaves, Time Bomb will diffuse and go back to being a normal poster. If it persists (and it usually does), Time Bomb's self-destruct sequence will continue to tick away. When the doomsday clock reaches zero, Time Bomb explodes in a fury of Grenades, shrapnel, napalm, and flames. And explosion from one Time Bomb may set off other Time Bombs. Surviors of multiple Time Bomb explosions are likely to become Xenophobes, suspicious of any secret grudges that both new and veteran member alike may have.
CAUTION: Many a hapless Bliss Nanny and Therapist have unwittingly set off Time Bombs by using the line, "Venting your anger is good for you." Only the most skilled Therapist should try to disarm a Time Bomb.
WARNING: Detonated Time Bombs will sometimes be reborn as Rebel Leaders or Godzillas!
(NOTE: This one cuts it a little close to Jekyll and Hyde. I'm not too sure about this one...)
Kinda like: Propeller Head/Godzilla.
Other names: Hacker, Cracker
Destroyers are highly knowledgable Propeller Heads that let their computer skills do the talking. When attacked on a board, Destroyer will simply hack into the forum and delete the entire board itself! He will usually change the Admin's password and e-mail address so that the former Admin cannot restore the board. He may also post a return flame in the former board's place. If a Destroyer is part Fanboy, he will periodically go around deleting sites and boards of fandoms he hates (Fanboy Destroyers are also known to work in groups). Duelist Propeller Heads who are locked in an "arms race" with each other may become Destroyers and begin deleting the sites of their opponents. Defending against Destroyers are incredibly hard, as they usually strike without warning and can remove Admins from power. _________________ Whoever told you to just be yourself gave you bad advice.

Newb Avenger is a Eagle Scout who becomes pissed off with some warrior, and all niceties are out the window. Bit like a Jekyl/Hyde warrior.
Time Bomb, they are about. Believe it's been described a few times before, but no matter. I think of them like a Jekyl/Hyde on steroids.
Couple of previous suggestions from the last guestbook.
Lamar "Edge" Hutchingson (2003) Incredible Hulk: Incredible Hulk is a cousin of Jeck/Hyde, but except Hulk doesn't change on a dime for no reason. Hulk is usually a Kung Fu Master who's been pushed over the edge by a comment that Jerk would leave about a sensitive topic in his personal life. When Hulk gets upset, he transforms from being one of the more mild mannered posters in the room to being foul mouthed, vicious and sometimes 1337, smashing everyone and everything in his path and not caring who is what. Hulk's been known to be resistant to even Swarms and big dogs. Afterwards, Hulk returns to being mild mannered and friendly, but nobody's left the same. It's as though a Godzilla attacked the room.
Edge (2001) The Incredible Hulk seems is a weak warrior, being eaten up by Me Too's without any help from the big dog, stung by the weak members of the swarm and picked apart by the other weak warriors until they touch a subject close to his/her heart and then suddenly, he turns into a powerful warrior destroying everything and everyone in his path, freind or foe, even going as far as picking up their personal information and meeting them with a gun at their house.
Destroyer: Interesting, but Evil Propeller Head might be the same warrior. Some Propeller Heads warn they'll hack you, so it sounds like the Destroyer is a Propellar Head who really can and not just full of it. (Actually looking at Mike's new page, it implies Propeller Head actually can do something. I liked the old definition, that added " or at least he SAYS he can...")
Well, net security has changed over the years. Could we say that Destroyer might have had a helping hand of demonstrating a need for that change. Anyhow, even if they don't do all that much these days, I know they certinly used to get the blame for a few things that happened on mailing lists and forums. Evil Admin has been known to pass the blame, (for any of their less than fair antics), on to Destroyer. _________________ The important thing is knowing who owns the fence

Time Bomb - Whoops! Didn't know somebody already said it. Funny how we both had "The Incredible Hulk" as names!
Destroyer - I had also going by the old defintion of "...or at least SAYS he can" too.
The difference between the two I was thinking of was that Destroyer never warns you. When approached, he'll simply hack his opponent or the site. And often, especially the ones I modeled it after, they don't need a good reason to attack. One of the models was an argument in a board's chatroom. One of the board members that wasn't even in that chat heard about it and decided it was a good time to delete the site and try to frame somebody. The other model was a group of hackers that randomly went around, deleting the sites of a particular TV show they disliked. I guess with the new definition on the site though, it does make it shave a little too close to Propeller Head.
Though actually, maybe I could put it in broader terms so it wouldn't be so close. I've often seen cases where boards were destroyed, but it wasn't because of a hacker/Propeller Head - it was because of somebody guessing the admin's password or somebody who had access to the site. And like you said...it could also be an Evil Admin trying to pass the blame on a hacker!
And it is true, "real" Destroyers don't occur very often. Probably is because of better security these days. _________________ Whoever told you to just be yourself gave you bad advice.

It no surprise a warrior like Time bomb has been put forward a few times.
I have seen it often, esp at a tech help forum, where I lurk.
About this forum I lurk at: The resident Xenophobes have decided lately, to practise sharpening their tounges on newer members. Sadly, it doesn't seem to exercise their brains. This goes unchecked, as they have palled up with Admin and Nanny (well figuratively speaking). It seems to be a complete mystry to them, that their usual 'banter', brings forth such emotion from some members. Then, there is usually a slanging match between those who are well and truely tired of the Xenophobes and those who are with the Xenophobes.. You have to be quick, where they tear up Xenophobes et al, as the thread is quickly deleted. (Mind, threads where Xenophobes appear to have the last word - stay) Most of the time, Xenophobes antics are watered down by real solutions from other members, but should other members be busy elsewhere, the newer member can have a bit of a melt down and blow a fuse. Usually by the time this happens, the Xenophobes really haven't said anything concrete/helpful up until that point. Its not that these particular Xenophobes, can't actually solve problems (or are stupid), they just like to tease things out.
Destroyer would have to be the variety of Propella Head who sees what they know as a means to an end, and breaking into other computers as something interesting to do. Though they fear being caught, are not concerned with the moral implications of interferring with a computer or mailing list or forum. I think they would have a reasonable expectation, that everyone would assume it was them, even if they won't admit to such.
Evil Admin has been know to say, thingame must have got into my personal machine via telnet and sent off that $#%$ email to you. These days I'd guess they would blame an open port etc.

Time Bomb and Destroyer seem to already be covered by Jekyll/Hyde and Propeller Heads. However, I really like Newb Avenger/Vigilante. I'd suggest adding that they may develop a vendetta with repeat offenders and go out of their way to destroy them. _________________

Jekyl/Hyde though similar, and closely related, is different from Incredible Hulk. This stems from the idea, Jekyl is a member, who, for no apparent reason, becomes Hyde and lashes out at the forum. It catches all by surprise. The attacks are powerful, but there is nothing to fuel it, apart from some internal rage. Many members would steer clear, and be concerned with the cause of the sudden rage, rather than put war paint on.
Banner/Incredible Hulk, or those I'd call that, have pretty obvious reasons to some of the forum, of what set things in motion. Hulks attacks are usually aimed at those who goaded them(or someone else) in the first place(usually a nice little mob), and fueled by anger, their usual ineffective writting is transformed into mighty blows which the "enemy" have little chance but get out of the way. Often it inspires others to help give the "enemy" a well deserved thrashing. _________________ The important thing is knowing who owns the fence
During a "forum wars" I was indirectly involved in, we had some "Destroyers." However, the days of hacking into systems are gone.
As you probably know, every week, at least one or two people come to an established board, create their own forum, then try and get people to come to those forums, usually e-mailing them with promises of a moderatorship, etc. Maybe these people are a class in their own right.
Our "Destroyers" - many of them already mods or aristos on the established board - simply warmed up to these annoying people and got modships on their boards. With their passwords and access, they waited....and then, on a set day, they deleted all the little boards with the appropriate "AYB" touch.
