The Debrief occurs after a flamewar has raged and burned out, either naturally by all involved agreeing to disagree or through Admin pulling the plug.
The Debrief is often a different thread to the flamewar and generally consists of one of the camps of warriors making peace with each other, forging friendships or gloating over their perceived victory over the other side. Warriors from the other camp may enter the Debrief and explain themselves peacefully, or apologise for things they regret. The Debrief is where the Armistice is called, the war is declared over and everyone decides to just get along as best they can.
The Debrief may attract Insurgents (warriors who missed the war and are desperate to say their piece no matter what) Trollers or Jerks in an attempt to restart the flamewar. Any warriors who were banned through the previous flame war may sign up under a different nick and join the Debrief to continue the war. |

| I think it's a pretty good concept, but I think the name doesn't quite fit. |

I like the suggestion, but I have to agree with ambosen. A debriefing typically is when one group/person extracts information from others, not when everyone gets together and shares. The word can also mean that you (personally) take in information and carefully review it. I think Peace Accord might be more appropriate. _________________
