The Butcher chops up other warriors messages into a massive amount of quotes. Sometimes it even cut up a single sentance into several quotes.

Some butchers misinterprate the quotes, or leave questions in several of their responds to the quotes, which can trigger the attacked warrior to take a defensive stance and try to defend their original message. If the attacked warrior goes on defense, it can result in several separate discussions about the chopped up message in the same thread.

Many thread followers find it repulsive to watch the bloody mess a Butcher makes and stop following the thread. Just like its hard to see what kind of animal some meat originates from, its often hard to see the original point made when the original post is slaughtered.

Some butchers are not aware of the disgust other forum warriors can get from watching a butcher at work, while some other devious butchers use their axe as a weapon to destroy threads on purpose by chopping the thread into something you rather throw in a trashbag and dispose of from a boat late at night.

Butchering is a risky and timeconsuming occupation, and while some Master Butchers can be quite effective at killing threads and leaving them in a bloody mess that must be closed, some cannot handle their axe with the proper respect it requires, which can result in ugly selfinflicted wounds on the butcher.
First I was thinking of some sort of ninja that slice up a post into several parts, but a butcher fits better. I searched for a whlie but couldnt find anything simular. Do you like this idea?

I would be happy if you help me refine the idea and describe other warriors reaktion to the butcher and such things! Smile

Its a pirateparty version of the free ehterpad that google aquired.

Its basicly an online documenteditor that several people can connect to and modify in real time at the same time, with diffrent colors for each user. Its a very usefull tool that I use for pretty much everything nowadays. Sorry for making you suspicios...

Anyway, what do you think about the warrior suggestion?

It's not a new suggestion, but I like the name. The dissector ?? I can't think off hand what a previous version was called.

Such a warrior usually arises in a forum of members that have a few warriors with a short attention span who need step by step "help" to see where they are wrong.

Then again, particularly stupid warriors who fail monumentally , may morph into this warrior type, but usually their attack will be crucified by many warriors in the forum and the thread quickly spirals out of control.

Oh, I do this tactic sometimes.

You basically chop up everything that you can quickly take out of context; then refute. In some cases you can use this repeatedly, and used the repeated false refutations as the basis to junk the whole argument your opponent is making as being full of holes; in some cases you do it to force your opponent into exhaustion by making him go through enormous effort to make his point.
