I just read "the funeral" thread and was thinking about a dude who died (cancer, 2002) who once started a thread with almost this exact title. My using it was sort of a tribute to him. He was funny, rude and a nasty as hell flamer, but a real person, and he is missed.
Semi-famous as well. The man could fucking well write. _________________ -

First Have the admin Ignore every bastard that inhabited the old guest list. Chose people that will hang onto what ever power has bestowed upon them.
I imagine irritus has only the permission to add mods, but frankly, if only I had access to modify email and password, that would be enough to chase persistent bots away.
The 29th most frequent poster.
I am considering a flood email bot net over a ddos on soft-buy-oem.net
account or whatever email is felix2010@soft-buy-oem.net
Thats only because I'm pissed off. My online time is spent cleaning up bots here.
Eventually I hope there is a web movement and effort should be placed on removing spammers sites from dns servers, which would be way more effective. _________________ The important thing is knowing who owns the fence |

Well since the deletion not many members have come back. I call it the "yahoo effect" members get so pissed that (a) some tard deleted it and (b) no one cares enough to put it back. _________________ The important thing is knowing who owns the fence |

Wow. hero status.
I like the idea of just spamming them back so they can't operate.
mail servers can block but webmaster@somesite.spam can't (they can, but there has to be a contact email by rights) block incoming complaints. _________________ The important thing is knowing who owns the fence |

I can see constantly taking these asshats to small claims court. Day in, day out. The money would add up. _________________ -

I have written to http://www.privacyprotect.org/ where the domain that the big dose of spam originates from.
1 week from now, I expect something to have happened, if not, after that ... I guess we add the whole www.privacyprotect.org/ domains to the spam wish list for irritus to add.

I got a response from privacyprotect.org (see quote)
I've probably headed out to the next dead end -- but at least the hoster doesn't like spam.
http://www.1dns.ru
Hi
I moderate at a forum which has a lot of trouble with a spammer from the oem-softwarez.com which after writhing to http://www.privacyprotect.org/ they said they could do nothing but suggested another whois tool.
http://www.domainwhitepages.com/
The only entry that looks like they might have registered the spam site was your site, but pardon me if I got it wrong.
This domain oem-softwarez.com is listed heavily in anti spam sites. We presently have such spam at out site. http://redwing.hutman.net/~mreed/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6391 is an example of this spam by spambot accoutt. If your service hosts oem-softwarez.com, it would be greatly appreciated if the spam came to an end.
Unfortunately the response from the domains admin at privacyprotect.org said they were powerless.

Hello,
Privacy Protect is just a service enabled on the domain name and we have NO control over any activity being conducted via this website.
There is a possibility that such an activity may stand as a breach of contract of the Accepted Usage Policy (AUP) of the Web Hosting Service Provider, for these domain names. You need to get in touch with them to seek action on this issue.
You may use any of the several web-based tools, to locate the E-Mail Address of the Abuse Desk of the Web Hosting Service Provider. One such tool is (http://www.domainwhitepages.com) .

WE have a blatent spambot account at our forum "flame warriors"
http://redwing.hutman.net/~mreed/forum/index.php
The spammers name is __ accoutt their email - felix2010@soft-buy-oem.net
They have more than 1000 messages they have placed there -all spam.
As it is blatant spam, and the user does not respond to PM, we have opted to see the domain cease as all it seems to be is a spam outlet.
If you wish to see evidence, just visit the site as it drops spam practically every day

It was another dead end, but it looks like I wrote to the wrong people, privacyprotect "the spam enablers" did actually provide another useful tool to single out the actual hoster and I wrote and complained to them.
Yippee! I think it was successful, the spammers home site returns a dns error and actually now requests get redirected to another .bz domain. It the dog arse hole licker ever comes back, there'll be another round of emails. _________________ The important thing is knowing who owns the fence |

Dear Dennis,
We here at redwing.hutman.net/~mreed/forum/ are getting tired of it being polluted by spambots from domains you have registered
LOWESTPRICEAVAILABLE.COM
KIRKBERGJEWELERS.COM
FOREXTRADERDAY.COM
FOREXTRADERNIGHT.COM
HOTVEGASRENTAL.COM
LASIKDOCTORLIST.COM
GOLFVACATIONHAWAII.COM
GREATPETBREEDERS.COM
HOMEBED.COM
SOLARRETAILER.COM
GIFTCIGAR.COM
TAXREDUCTIONEXPERT.COM
LOOKINGFORDREAMHOME.COM
FIJIHONEYMOONVACATION.COM
BUYDOMAINSON.COM
IWANTBUYTV.COM
SPEEDYHOMEEVALUATION.COM
FINEARTSGALLERIA.COM
FUNBOWLINGTEES.COM
FORUSEDAUTOS.COM
FLORIDADISNEYWORLD.COM
HARLEYDAVIDSONWINDSHIELDS.COM
SIMPLEBUYHOMES.COM
This is a one off courtesy letter.
Spamming is non productive, it just aggravates people to complain to hosting domains as spam is something no company or individual should do or enable.
There will be a 3 day grace period (This allows for 2 working days to render inoperative the code for any bots that have registered at our forum) from the time this email is sent, where upon any spam from a domain you have registered will be tackled in a different manner.
Regards
Fence Sitter.

Yes guys, three more days and if you see any spambot posting with an email from these domains or another one registered to Dennis, godaddy is getting an ear full.
I think com domains cost at least $9 bucks, so it'll be interesting to shoot that show down, though I think the register can still sell the domain even if they can't use it. _________________ The important thing is knowing who owns the fence |

With trepidation I tried installing a super cool neato piece of browser add on software that was 100% FREE man! Free.
My security software stopped the installation. It was trying to secretly add some adware/spyware to go along with it.
Color me fucking surprised. _________________ -

Eh check the post count, but the rate has dropped off a little.
I wonder if the spambots have some sort of monitoring to try and figure out the best times when messages won't be almost instantly removed. _________________ The important thing is knowing who owns the fence |
