I might not be around, or might not be around much, for a while. I'll probably be back soon enough, and I'll try to post laconically and lazily about nothing important until I'm back in full force. I've been rather busy as of late, -- "Gasp! Mly is not only lacking in stupidity-inflicted injuries and illnesses to the point of being able to do stuff, but actually doing stuff!?" -- and I've opted to mostly throw forum posting out for a while, in favor of having more time to... Well, don't worry about that part.
But g'bye. _________________ Everything that has transpired in this thread has done so according to my design.

I have returned, and I bring you shameless advertising!
http://mlyt.123.st/
↑ That's a large part of what I was doing while I was on "vacation." Yes, the Mlytorium (I'm terrible with names and that's just the one it's always used; you might notice I'm actively looking for ideas for new ones if you look in the site discussion forum.) is back, in its fourth incarnation. Feel free to join and post, everybody and anybody. I thought I'd give it another whack now that I'm a lot better at being the admin with copious amounts of great justice.
Right now we're mostly just popping up on the site and trying to build up speed. Every little bit helps, and if the activity attracts morons I can smite them, once there's plenty of posts for the post god and topics for the topic throne.
By such a time as that, the site's CC will have started to congeal together, I'll probably have some basic SEO figured out, the site will likely be somewhere noticeable in the host's board listings, and things in general will be stabilized.
P.S.: I'm not too worried about bots; the host has a few things to keep them tame, and I can screw with permissions to make the (non)lives of bots living hell.
Hell, let 'em come so I can flex my admin muscles and make sure everyone realizes they're safe and sound while I get used to the tools I haven't used in ages. _________________ Everything that has transpired in this thread has done so according to my design.

A fedora. My old one got ripped to bits.

I probably won't be coming by this time. Remember, your presence almost led me to stay away from this place for good.
Oh, and when you said you yanked my mod spot at the old one in case I was thinking of ruining something... come on dude. What was there to ruin? |

Yeah, fair 'nuff. I admit I was a dick in the past, and I can probably never apologize enough for every little douchenozzle thing I did back then. That said, I'll say simply this, for whatever it's worth: Sorry.
I'm not (so much of) a dick now. I'm genuinely a nice guy who's just nutty at times, any more. Popular opinion of people who consistently hang around me and don't have some sort of thing against me from before agrees, even. Act upon that knowledge as you wish.
Aaanyway. As some sort of crazy hyping campaign for my site, I now proudly present....
Mly's Quest! (Working title.)
Location: The Mlytorium, central island.
Mly sat in the small forest clearing, which was slowly growing as lumber was being harvested to build the first structures of the new floating Mlytorium. He looked carefully at the small chunk of the Archive of Fortitude he held in his hand. Just a few bits of non-essential information hidden within it, as he expected.
He sat it gently down upon the ground, held both hands over it, and began to focus. Seconds turned to minutes turned to hours. Until finally....
"Maximum Magnae Opera!"
Mly's entire form throbbed in agonizing pain from the sheer expended energy, as did the entire Mlytorium. Every island in the coalescing, floating archipelago quaked immensely and was thrown off balance for a moment. A few small bits fell into the sea to need inevitable re-collection.
A small crater was made, consuming the clearing and a bit around it, pulling up raw dirt and rock to feed the creation of the new item: the Mly stone. Just as quickly, the clearing expanded outward greatly as many of the small wooded area's trees were converted into odd wires of sorts to connect most islands in the archipelago together to the central island and the new, massive Mly stone.
Mly held it aloft as it grew to be almost the size of him from the frenzy of re-settling matter, watching as the strange, black tendril-like cables wiggled into it. Three greater cables formed and connected to the stone: One pointed north-ish to the cool, calm, and rocky Vexxia. One pointed a more southward direction, to the fiery-hot lands of Efhawe. The third and final extended toward the lush and tender continent of Tescia, the final point in the massive triangle.
But the three cables split outward, into twelve each, and weaved all through the islands, loosely connecting the vast majority of them, before finally extending outward to the open sky, down to the sea, and finally into the continents of Tescia, Efhawe, and Vexxia from their sides, beneath the waves. And at last, they all ran completely through the three continents to penetrate and tug at the thirty-six islands of the Faraway Ring. All the local world throbbed and quaked and pulsated as it was pulled, bit by bit, inch by inch, closer to the Mlytorium.
Mly at last collapsed, realizing his work was temporarily done. "Hh, hhh, hhaaah. ... " He could scantly breathe, much less think. "That should be enough to amplify it for now," his energy-drained mind thought before slipping into unconsciousness.
What is this mysterious "Mly stone," and what will happen to it for the sake of making a plot for this story!? Who am I and why am I hyping up the next episode!? All this and more may or may not be answered next time, on Dragon Ba--I mean, Mly's Quest!
(ETA: Yes, I stole "Archive of Fortitude" from irritus. I'm horribly unoriginal with names, and it was the best over-dramatic name for my personal archive of forum postings and such that I could ever find. I obviously did the same thing with the CC in all 4 iterations of the site, as well. So sue me. Actually, don't, because neither of them have any copyright and I don't think anyone should care about simple copied names.) _________________ Everything that has transpired in this thread has done so according to my design.

| I was referring to your frequent, appallingly straight-faced jokes about... something I really shouldn't mention. Absolutely disgusting. |

Oh. Well, I just thought it was funny. I would've never considered the possibility of anyone much taking it seriously here, of all places. Apologies. _________________ Everything that has transpired in this thread has done so according to my design.
