Autobiographer - An annoying subspecies of Ego, Autobiographer seeks to turn the forum into his own personal blog, by constantly recounting in long-winded fashion his tales of daring-do, or worse yet and is most offten the case, the tedious minutia of his daily life. Nothing in Autobiographer's exsistance is seen as too boring, too dull or too pedestrian to share in greatly exaggerated detail.

He seeks not to turn exsisting threads to himself, but rather to make himself the subject of the entire forum by ensuring that there is always a discussion started by and devoted entirely to him that can serve as a cyber-temple for his self-appointed worshipers

Particularly potent Autobiographers are borderline Munchausens, and a quick tally will offten reveal that they have claimed to have narrowly escaped death (or almost caused it to happen to another) dozens and dozens of times,

When challenged by other warriors, Autobiographer will hide behind his First Amendment rights, or argue that he has broken no rule and has kept all his conduct clean and civil. Admin may pull the plug on him if he becomes too much of a nuisance, but Autobiographer is his own worst enemy since he offten reveals personal details that quickly become ammunition against him in the hands of Evil Clowns, Composts and even Issues depending on political/social persuasion. Aside from this, the most effective weapon to deploy is indifference

Autobiographer is especialy annoying if he has a digital camera and hosting space at his disposal, as he will then subject others to a barrage of self-portraits and panoramic views of his sock drawer

Seems original enough to me. Makes me think of my Mindbender suggestion, except this type only turns the forum into advertising for his/her life. I like it a lot.

Hell yes, I have seen so many of these people. They post boring stories about what they did with Mike a Julie at the mall. Talk about crap involving their ex as though anyone on the forums gives a damn, and are also infamous for posting bad poetry/prose about anyone IRL that draws their ire.

Oh, and should they acutaly HAVE a blog of thier own, they won't discontinue thier behvaior, they'll just constantly link to it imploring us to "check out what I did today!"

It seems like they ALL have blogs, or livejournals or websites or SOME kind of secondary "fort" to retreat to should they be chased off the forum by stronger warriors

You can usualy still find them stewing over thier defeats there, where they can post with immunity how much they feel they have been wronged by people who they "thought were friends"

If Autobiographer has run afowl of a Propeller Head or two, he/she may unkowingly invite the destruction of this "second line" defense as well

Yeah man those fucking chicks suck ass! What the fuck is up with these EMOs? What is their bloody obsession with making freewebs websites to describe their "pain" which is actually non existant because they are rich kids who usually are homeschooled or attend private school

They listen to Avril Lavinge, ICP, Good Charolette, and think it's original, although millions of other people waste their money away on it, and think the same thing.
They like to believe they are intelligent and deep and know everything about the world, but in reality they are just pretending to be depressed to pull chicks with that "dark and mysterious look," that doesn't actually work and they've only seen it work in films most likely. They are on the increase. They think it's so cool and mysterious to have mental ailments or be depressed. You walk around going "Oh, I'm so depressed, NOBODY UNDESTANDS ME! Oh my, I don't care about anything, golly gosh, just leave me alone for petes sakes, i'm depressed!" Then they claim to have mental illnesses when they are trying to break the limits, though they show no symptoms of it, and aren't suffering. Nearly all of them write shitty poetry that anybody could write. Let me write a poem just to prove it that is typical EMO.

God I have encountered these creatures MANY times in my travels.

The line about the digital camera and the myriad of "artsy" pics of their sock drawer is so true!

Hmm, well I'll skip the comments about chicks, being one myself, although I gotta admit I have never seen the point of blogs - it's more fun when we're mysterious. But I think we need to make this one a bit broader - does it include the person who goes from car wreck to sister dying to getting pregnant by her pastor? I'd call that one Tragedianne, whereas this one sounds like you're describing someone with no excitement in her life, who insists on inflicting it (and her "pain") on us anyway.

Oh, and Rebel - the sad part about this is that we're programmed to react to men like that. It works. If you're sixteen. Trust me, by 30 they got better fish to fry.

Actualy, the guy I designed Autobiographer after actualy was a frequent contributor to our forum where he would post pictures of himself MOWING HIS LAWN and be absolutely mystified why we were not amused, so it's by no means limited to the fairer sex.

Autobiographers are just boring people, with boring lives, who THINK that others want to know more about them
