| Ninja is greatly feared for his cunning, his stealth, and his lethal coup de grace. Usually darting from topic to topic, Ninja shows little evidence of mercy in his ruthless predations upon his opponents. Carefully staying out of sight until the last moment, when Ninja strikes, he employs his various observed points like a barrage of shiruken, constantly attacking each and every hole, hypocrisy, and logical flaw in his enemy's argument. However, at the same time Ninja carefully evades making any sort of argument that can effectively be countered. His slashing attacks leave nothing but rhetorical ruin in their wake, and by the time his shocked targets can manage to try and mass even the weakest of counters, he is long gone. Carefully attacking his enemies rather than starting an argument or debate of his own, Ninja makes his views and points known only through his annihilation of the arguments of his enemies. |

This a lot like a Philosopher who utilizes good timing. Err, I hope that doesn't come across as cold; I have trouble giving criticism without sounding like a bastard. _________________

| I think this one deserves its own category. A philosopher implies a lengthy and hammering series of blows raining down from an ivory pedistal of irrefutibility, while a ninja implies rapid, subtile strikes and a kind of elusiveness for counter attack. |

The major thing that separates Philosopher from my idea is the fact that Ninja doesn't have a defense. Ninja doesn't even offer anything to defend. All he does is ruthlessly annihilate the points of his opposition- he's all offensive. He does not, however, directly offer an argument of his own-making him extremely difficult to attack- or usually actually start a discussion of his own. Most of the time he attacks, shreds the points of his target, and disappears into hiding before anyone can figure out how to effectively counter.
Least, that's how I saw it. |

Oh! Yes, I misread it then. Your description sounds close to another suggestion someone made for an Assassin. Fitting, since ninja are assassins. Maybe you two could get together and come up with a merger? _________________

This is pretty much already covered by Kung Fu Master. You characterize it a little differently, but it is still the same basic thing of a warrior who bides their time and stays under the radar and then suddenly ripostes with a devastating attack.
I don't think it's different enough to warrant a new warrior.

I have to disagree, for the same reason I admitted I was wrong earlier. The ninja has no defense. The Kung fu Master has both offense and defense. The ninja also purposely waits to mount a major attack, while the Kung Fu Warrior only pulls out the big moves to cripple an opponent. _________________
