Veteran
The Veteran has seen almost everything the internet has to offer, if you've seen a site, chances are he already saw it six months ago. Very little impresses or horrifies him, and he is often a long-term member of a forum, and is generally looked up to as a fount of knowledge, and many come to him seeking the location of various things.
The veteran is a fearsome warrior in his experiance and few will best him in an out-and-out fight.
Minelayer
The Minelayer delights not in directly causing harm to a person, but by laying seemingly harmless "link-mines" knowing that forum-goers will click, only to be bombarded with a link to such internet horrors as Goatse or Tubgirl, and only laughs as more powerful warriors are reduced to quivering puddy at the immense gross-out power of these sites.
The Newbie will almost always fall for these traps, making him the prime target of the Minelayer, however he delights whenever a Crybaby, Weenie or Fragile Femme stumbles upon his handy-work. Veterans have usually seen worse, and Pervs are usually turned on by the sites they're linked to.
Minelayers often share qualities with Evil Clowns, Pervs and Trollers, although sometimes a Veteran may turn to the darkside and use his extensive knowledge of the internet's dirty underworld to become a horrifyingly effective Minelayer.
A Minelayer's forum life-span will be short, however, as people learn to just stop clicking his links if he isn't banned after the first one or two link-mines...
Link-Mine
A devestating weapon more than a type of Warrior, the Link-Mine appears to be an innocent link, often placed as a new topic with a line indicating it to be a site that would be of interest to the forum as a whole, but is instead an insidious link to a disgusting, sometimes violent, often pornographic image that is sure to leave a mental scar on all but the most jaded of net-goers. Popular Link-Mines are goatse.cx and the infamous tubgirl.

Veteran knows when to look away. That's why he is immune to link mines.

Another type of link-mine is the Endless String of Message Boxes that I'm sure you've all encountered. _________________ Sanity not included. |
