Note I will not even deny that NHF is the person who actually made me think of this. But honestly i've seen it done several times. He is not the creator of this particular pseudo attack/defense.

It isn't something you would want to use, but it is a tactic nonetheless. You come into a forum with some gimmick. Some nick switch you think is going to give you the edge on everyone. You have this whole thing laid out to thrash everybody...but it doesn't work. So what do you do. You fallback onto a troll. You act as if anything you said that was wrong was simply bait to goad people further into your trap. Yeah sure maybe it looked like you were arguing your heart out and trying to be civil (this basically means you were really just trying to look like the victim) but that was just part of the plan.

Uh oh...but that isn't working either. So you fallback again, you try to make the supposed 'troll' more obvious and stoop to incoherent bullshit just to keep people replying to your threads. You do whatever you can to make it seem like your not even trying and you don't take anything seriously even though a day earlier you were all about being civil (aka the victim).

The unfortunate fact of this is, the tactic never works. I mean sure you can later claim you pwned everyone because they kept responding. But frankly making yourself look like an idiot and 'goading' people into pointing this out is not victory. The upside of course is on most Flame forums people don't care about wether you were right or not. And will take any chance to pat you on the back and agree with you. So it isn't a total waste of time. Or at least one can keep telling themself that.

Well that is more specific to NHF. I mean that is certainly his most ongoing tactic but there are some others who aren't quite dumb enough to try stooping to that as if it makes any difference.

Of course those others are still just stupid enough to try the Double Fallback in the first place.

I wouldn't know his tactics, I just met him. Seems like a legitimate enough idiot who would pull something so monumentally retarded, but I like to reserve judgement on gimps that can balance so many poor trolls on their nose at once. Why, it almost equals one good one... but there I go being generous again...
