Here's one of my ideas for a Flame Warrior. I hope it is not redundant.

John Hancock:

John Hancock cannot resist having a giant signature which takes up the entire viewing area of your monitor. He also, on certain occasions, uses an incredibly oversized avatar as well, a potent combination which forces other Warriors to perform several tedious scrolling actions just to see what the heck he wrote in the first place. Quietly despised by just about every Warrior, the pictures, videos, and repeating sound effects in John Hancock's signature do nothing to enhance his weak arguments, which are often completely ignored. John Hancock will usually leave and never return once Admin forces him to part with his giant billboard or if Therapist accuses him of trying to compensate for something.

No, I've seen these people. They are amazingly annoying. It makes me want to scream when I have to look at the same giant image (usually of an Anime character or something equally retarded) over and over again just to get through the thread. I think no one should use images in their sig. it's really annoying.

What about someone who manually types their name at the end of every post, instead of putting it in their sig?

I think sigs are more a trait of a warrior, I don't think someone's sig alone is enough to completely define them. You should elaborate more about his posting style.

Oh brother, I hate these types of people with sigs that are too big.

They sometimes have them so big that it alters the way a thread is looked at.

These warriors are the reason you have to make a paypal donation to get avatar/picture posting privelages on my home board, too many people had sigs that were 4 times as large as the body of the post, and of course, were loaded with such a glut of GIF and JPG files that anyone on a 56K modem would probably be entertaning homicidal urges after too long

I would definitely suggest this as a warrior. It is a feeble warrior who tries too hard to look good through their signature. I've seen people who would start threads for ideas for the perfect signature. This could be an act of compensation, or simply apathy for the internet connections of others.

I'd suggest mentioning this person is probably disinterested in battle, and puts little effort into his/her combat. Some only engage in battle because they were drawn in by friends, or wandered blindly into a fight because they didn't pay attention to the discussion before posting.

I hate these guys. The worst part is when it's some computer illiterate pre-teen who has music in their sig. Any requests to remove it are met with-"lyk how do i turn it off?!!1??" even when you've explained it to them 3 times.

That, and they just don't get what you hate about his avatar - "But that's the size it downloaded!"

Excellent suggestion. This is an obvious one. I'm suprised no one has mentioned him til now. Awesome.

I have threatened a pair of people with the standard issue "hunt you down then <horrbile death here>" after they made sigs that were two pages long with text and chucked an image in after them. To make matters worse they were animated gifs, and my computer went nuts trying to download them on its puny 56k.

These people should be skinned alive Evil or Very Mad

I've seen many Acnes and Artistes who do this.

Yeah, I'd think a lot of John Hancocks were once Acnes or Net Rats. Also, they'd be yet another natural enemy for Propellerheads.

I used to see these guys all the time...they'd make my browser go boom! Shocked

That's why nowadays, I try to stick with one pic in any sig, and make sure it doesn't take up an entire screen.

On the other hand, it's funny when a John Hancock has table tags in his sig, forgets to close them, and totally messes up the board! Laughing
