Flame Warriors ~ View topic

Convoers is usually two warriors

they will almost always go into a topic that has been posted and pretty much take over it with a page of two of them just giving each other one or two line greetings.

For Example:

Convoer 1: "Posts random thing"

Convoer 2: Oh Hey (insert Convoer 1 name here), what's up?

Convoer 2: Nothing much, how about you?

Convoer 1: The same, how was your week?

Convoer 2: Pretty good, yours?

Etc

Convoers won't just do this to one thread, they will take over two, three, or even a dozen or so threads and have their own little convos that have little or nothing to do with the topic at hand.

Most warriors usually ignore this at first, but when their convo reaches a nauseatingly long string of posts, most will speak up and tell the warriors to "take it to an IM or PM". Admin, 9 out of 10 times, will nicely inform both warriors to do this as well, and the situation usually ends without much violence.

Warning: Jerk, Troller, Evil Clown may be masquerading as the two Convoers in order to flame bait other warriors.

AAARRRRAAAAGGGGHHHHH!!! Yes! I've seen these! They're total bastards! They sometimes try to hide behind a guise of being social and not realising they were bothering people. Playing dumb rarely helps them in the end.

I would call them Chatterboxes (Singular: Chatterbox)

Walk into a sensible discussion and then run off at a tangent with a discussion that compltely hijacks the thread.

Despised by all the more powerful warriors, they would be invincible to all except the Mods and Admins.

Ive been trying to deal with a pair of them for a couple of weeks.

Basically a non-violent version of the duelists, pretty cool. I think we've all been guilty of this at least once, with the whole chatting thing and all.

Great suggestion, I've seen these types of people at work. It's really annoying and adds too much clutter on the forum.

This is what we need a Spammer warrior for. I think this is only a minor variation on the guy who just posts over and over again to the same thread, responding to himself and filling it with drivel.

I don't think these are spammers - they have no real intention of killing the thread, they just want to contact their buddies. I'm not defending them - just pointing out their main prob is thoughtlessness, not malaice.

Once they go past two or three replies each they are definitely doing it on purpose. Whether they are being mischievous, malicious, or just silly, they are definitely spamming.

We have a clique of these. About 7 of them have taken over several well-beloved and long-standing threads... I was hoping to find a good description for them.

Now, just add in, "Chatterboxes occasionally devolve into Net Sweeties and moon over each other at any chance."
