Barratry Boy is a very obvious Warrior and often one of little power. When someone disagrees with him (or her) the immediate response is a threat of legal action. Barratry Boy's battle cry is "Take that back or I'll sue!" Other cries include: "That's actionable;" "People get sued for saying things like that;" and "I can say anything I want, it's protected by the First Amendment - try to SLAPP my rights and I will eat you alive in court."
Barratry Boy usually is over 30 and lives at home with his Mommy, has no assets and, if he ever does file a case against someone, he files it pro se (acting as his own attorney) and fails, miserably. Usually, however, Barratry Boy will just keep posting his threats, completely unaware that such threats are often illegal in and of themselves.
Allies: anyone who supports his cause du jour
Enemies: Evil Clown, who loves to set him off, and Grenade, for the same reason.

Unfortunately, sometimes this guy really does sue, and sometimes he wins. There was some famous usenet case where this happened, and then the guy kept suing other people over and over again. I don't remember the details, maybe someone else will link it up or something, hehe.

And in the prop collecting hobby, which is in the grey zone legally, you also see a lot of empty threats.
Good use of the word "barratry". |

| Fanboys tend to turn into these if they have more than 4 minutes of exposure to an entry-level college civil law course... |
