Perry White is best known around the boards for his incessant use of the "edit" function. He will make an attack or a statement, and then go back and completely change his arguement 3 days later. Not only will he continuously revamp his arguements and thoughts he will also shift alliances in the heat of battle with the single click of the EDIT button. There is an understanding throughout the forum board NOT to take what Perry White says worth a grain of salt because he will invariably change it at a later, undisclosed date.

This seems very similar to Editor in Chief. Perhaps you two could combine efforts? I prefer your description, but theirs has some tactics that were missed. _________________

Also, while I know who Perry White is, I don't know that most people will realise how appropriate it is. Might I suggest something more general, like Revisionist or Shapeshifter? _________________

Damn! Zaners came up with it first. "Editor-in-Chief" is exactly what I was thinking of. Irritus thanks for the link.
Zaners, want to merge the two and smooth out the description and tactics? |

By all means.

Editor in Chief is notorious for editing his posts when the tides are rising against him. Usually when in a heated debate, Editor in Chief will switch the words around in his post and act like nothing happened. Some eagle-eyed warriors will take notice of this, and he will leave the thread with a stained reputation.
Minor Editor in Chief's do not take the time to read their post before submitting, and after noticing their mistakes, they will edit their post a maximum of ten times. They are not like true Editor in Chief's because they do not edit the original post into something totally different." _________________ God rocks. |

@Zaners. I'm going to try to combine our two descriptions into one, so tell me what you think. Now, I do like the name "editor-in-chief", however, I also think "Perry White" is very clever. Also, if we did use the name "Perry White" the "minor editor-in-chief" could be called a "Jimmy Olsen." Irritus did bring up a good point that some visitors may not know who Perry White is. However, if we kept the name it'd be under the assumption most, if not all, of the visitors to this site have some intelligence and will know who Perry White is and see the humor in it, OR it will incite their curiousity. A quick Google search and they would be "in" on the joke. Ultimately the name we use would be up to you as you first came up with the idea. Or Mike's if he decides to include this warrior.
Editor-in-chief (also known as Perry White) is best known around the boards for his incessant use of the "edit" function. He is notorious for editing his posts when the tides of battle are rising against him. Not only will he flip-flop his arguements and opinions, he will also shift alliances in the middle of a war with the single, undecisive click of the EDIT button. To add insult to injury, Editor-in-chief will act as though nothing happened, because whatever it is he said, according to Editor-in-chief, was never in fact said. There is an understanding throughout the forum board NOT to take what Editor-in-chief says worth a grain of salt because he will invariably change it at a later, undisclosed date. Consequently, Editor-in-Chief will almost always carry a stained reputation and cannot be trusted.

| Irritus, thanks for the props! I hope this Warrior is considered as he is definitely a common sight in almost any board out there. |

This is also a tactic used by some of the trolls i have encountered. They will enter a topic, say something nasty, stir up a hornets nest of hate, then edit thier message to something innocent and thus attempt to escape detection by the admin.
The Editor in Cheif, as you call him, can be soundly defeated through the use of quote tags.

| 5-minute-edit rules are also effective should the admin grow tire of his constant "I never said that! Show me where I said that!" |
