Disillusioned Soldier

Like Centurion, DIsillusioned Soldier uses his military experience to attempt to add authority to his arguments. However, completely unlike his warmongering counterpart, Disillusioned Soldier has been scarred mentally, and perhaps physically as well, by his war experiences, and has turned staunchly anti-war. He has seen, and experienced much hardship and suffering as the result of war, and the world-weariness of his posts reflects that.

Disillusioned Soldier finds natural allies in Weenie and Pinko, both of whom will likely lean quite heavily on him to support their arguments. His natural enemies include Troglodyte and, in particular, Centurion. The latter tends to regard him as a traitor, and hates him with a venomous passion. For his part, Disillusioned Soldier tends to regard Centurion with condesension, with the implication that the Centurion has not been truly tested in battle yet. More often than not, he's right, and typically, the less 'real' battle experience Centurion has, the more vociferous his attacks on Disillusioned Soldier are. Centurion and Disillusioned Soldier often become Duellists.

Disillusioned Soldier was quite often a Centurion in a former life, much to the glee of Weenie and Pinko, and much to the chagrin of Centurion.

Weapons

Weapons knows his weapons -- a bit too well, most people would say. He tends to specialise in a particular class of weapons. It might be swords, ninja weapons, guns, tanks, planes, ships, or what have you. He's obsessed, and it shows.

While this may seem intimidating to an outsider, it should be noted that Weapons rarely uses his knowledge to attempt to buttress unrelated arguments. Instead, he simply likes to chatter on about the minutiae of his chosen class of weapon. Groups of Weapons are notorious for dragging threads offtopic ; the thus-hijacked threads are absolutely interminable, and usually don't end until Nanny or Admin pull the plug. And woe betide any other warrior who gets his facts wrong about weapons. Weapons will regard this as an almost personal affront, and attack the hapless warrior mercilessly.

But, so long as nobody else mentions weapons, he is quite capable of carrying on debate of unrelated topics without dragging weapons into it. It usually takes someone else mentioning weapons, even if only in passing, to set him off.

Weapons is not merely a weapons Fanboy. In general, he is much more well-adjusted and well-rounded than a Fanboy could ever hope to be. Indeed, you may not realise that there's anything out of the ordinary about him until someone sets him off...

I like them both a lot, though that bit about Disillusioned Soldier typically having more combat experience than Centurian comes off as preachy. If anything, there's no real way to tell if either of them ever were more than Army secretaries anyways.
