How would you define Flame Warrior?
The listing more or less covers all types of internet forum users.
Is not then everyone on any board a warrior of some sort?
What is a normal forum user called? |

Yes and no - we have both flame warriors and forum types on the list - warriors are the more agressive of the two. Lurker is a good example of type rather than warrior, as is Strumpet.

I think you can divide the internet population thusly:
5%: Flame Warriors
95%: Lame Warriors
Of course, most Lame Warriors think they're Flame Warriors. |

There are different schools of thought on this, but personally I feel that anyone INVOLVED in a flame war should be considered a flame warrior. And that means virtually everyone who posts on forums. I don't put much weight in a distinction between 'flame warriors' and other types of posters. Some posters are better at it, some are more agressive, some choose to seek out conflict, but everyone posting is basically in a battle of ideas, and as such they become a flame warrior. That may be because they brave the flames, or because they spread the flames around, but one way or another... And remember, one man's flame is another man's neutral, inoffensive baby post.
Speaking of which, that reminds me of a long overdue warrior type.

Cunning and wit? Grunter? Jerk? Net Rat? No, a flame warrior is someone who engages in flame wars, pure and simple. If you get cunning, wit, and an occasional removal from a forum of a total idiot, those are bonuses.
