(props to anyone who knows the rather obscure reference I'm making with the name.)
Bobby the inquisitive boy
doesn't really enage in combat as much as he provokes it, intentionally or not. Most of bobby's threads are questions posed to the entire forum, along with the invitation; "what do you guys think?" In a stable forum, these threads will come and go with only minor, usually clean, combat. But in a very opinionated populace, and armed with a grenade of a topic, bobby has the potential to divide people, incite war, and even fatally wound the forum.
i know this flame warrior idea from personal experience (note to self: never mention gay marriage again ) |

This sounds a lot like a Newbie with a Grenade, or The Awkward Silencer. _________________ Proud User of teh Fox of Fire

This might be covered by School Project.
Could you elaborate on what Bobby the Inquisitive does? There's a little confusion. Based on the name and what you presented, I see him a specific type of Newbie. They post very little since they haven't gotten the hang of it and don't want to look like idiots. They start question threads because it seems like an easy way to practice socializing without worrying about being accused of social blunders (atleast not in their own thread). _________________

I had been considering proposing one named Help Desk, whose only activity on a forum is posting idiotic support questions for the mods, usually because he doesn't bother to read the FAQ's. He isn't exactly a "warrior," but he often gets flamed for posting off-topic.
Being the "User Support Moderator" at one particular forum, I usually end up having to deal with these guys, answering their posts and sending them countless PMs to "explain" the rules. Some of them don't speak English, which makes it even more fun (Babelfish). |

Kung-Fu, you want to move Help Desk to its own thread please? It sounds good (although more like a tactic than a warrior) but this thread should stay on Bobby the Warrior.
This kinda sounds like Newbie but I'd like to read more. _________________ The Average Woman Would Rather Have Beauty Than Brains Because The Average Man Can See Better Than He Can Think |

Well, they might not be, but I'm going to need some elaboration on both. _________________

I think JFGI and Help Desk could be merged if the definition of the former were expanded slightly (maybe calling it RTFM ) |

Hey, we can expand all the definitions - but where's that gonna leave Mike? _________________ The Average Woman Would Rather Have Beauty Than Brains Because The Average Man Can See Better Than He Can Think |
