This warrior is not necessarily seeking warez or pirated material, but Leech is interested in only one thing: free stuff! He or she incessantly begs for free video clips and photos, usually of a pornographic nature, and may harangue prominent board members by PMs and e-mail, constantly asking for new material.
Leech almost never contributes to any meaningful discussion, and usually has a tiny post count. Some boards which actively discourage leeching may ban this parasite, while other boards will allow him to yap on and on until he is on almost everyone's ignore list.
Note: many male Leeches pose as females because they think they can get more "free stuff" that way. Beware of "sexy young women" who send PMs and IMs begging for free porn ... |

Leeches! How could they have been overlooked?
Good call man, I don't think I've seen these suggested yet but they are common and quite annoying. _________________

| Good call. I'd like to suggest Warez Monkey as a subset of this warrior. |

| Yeah, I've normally seen these guys on game related forums. I normally wouldn't think of them as warriors, but they do tend to be on the recieving ends of flames, so yeah, this is a good one. |

Most often seen on online games. Here's my story.
While playing Lineage II yesterday, I figured out the game wasn't fun to play anymore. So I decided to give all my stuff away and delete my character. But, I felt like having a little fun.
I set up a shop in the middle of town with the title "Clearance Sale!" and put up my most valuable item for 1$.
When someone realized what I was doing, I had a flock of leechers following me. I thus proceeded to play hide and seek, warping to different towns, selling in the middle of dangerous battle grounds, anything to lose the leechers! In the meantime, I received a constant stream of private messages begging me for items and money.
When I finally finished to give the stuff away, I went to some random fighter I hadn't met before and gave him all my cash. I then sat down and waited a bit. There was still a player chasing me around, and PMs coming in.
I didn't answer.

Another story, this one from a forum. A friend of mine had borrowed a Sega Dreamcast game from me, but never returned it. So I thought "Well, I'll just go find a CD image on the internet and play with that." What I uncovered was a treasure trove of Dreamcast goodies, boosting my collection from 5 to 50. However, I was still missing a few.
I go on Segaforums, and put up my have/want list. The next thing I know, I get messaged by 3 people who each want at least 10 of my games, but have nothing to offer in return. |

Don't know about that - you should see some of the "Poor Students" on some of the historical forums who "can't afford proper research material". We usually point them to their friendly local library system.

No, it isn't. One of the reason MMORPGs are the spawn of Satan is that many male players will pretend to be female. They then prey on other male players who are helpful to female players because they're either chivalrous or very lonely. Basically they pretend to be women to get gifts. The same sometimes happens on forums. For the most part, these net drag queens don't do anything sexual with their idiot marks, hence why they aren't Pervs. _________________

| A variant of Leech that I have seen is someone who claims to be setting up a new website devoted to the same topic as the forum, and they need people to be kind enough to send in stories, photos, or video clips for inclusion at the new site. When they have received enough donations, they disappear from the forum and are never heard from again. This type of Leech is often found at music or celebrity forums. |

"okay fine."
