I've started blocking sales calls. I look up a number on the internet, and based on the reports there I preblock them, so they can never get through. It warms my heart each time my faithful robot phone blocks their calls.

It's your own fault for supporting capitalism. People gotta' eat somehow. So they're advertising for their corporate concubines. If it bothered you that much, you'd seek to reduce the stranglehold the monetary system has over the common man's life. Slavery or starvation isn't a choice, it's a threat!

So you capitalists should be grateful that the market so so abundant with "choice" that they come to you, and offer you great deals on random products you may or may not be looking for. Who knows? Maybe you'll be interested in something they're selling... But you just like to complain.

I'd rather deal with spam then moderators deciding what spam is. It just amazes me how you people defend the capitalist system, yet don't want what it entails, forcing people to do jobs they really don't want to do, and bother you to try to gain you as a customer. But meanwhile you defend the video game industry that blatantly false advertises, (Lionhead) or does not inform you something important like a key code only works once for activation. The problem with that, Jim-tard, is that spammy products are almost always shoddy and don't work as promised. It's like informercials. If they have to spam up forums and shout CALL IN THE NEXT FIVE MINUTES AND WE'LL DOUBLE IT! to get you to buy, it probably doesn't work.

Nothing, as to supporting capitalism or not, has any bearing on spambots. Thought your tirade seems well written, it has not any once reality to it.

Spambot droppings for the most part are pretty easy to distinguish, even for mods.

Real live spammers are harder to spot.

Spammers do actually harm people who can't tell the product is rubbish or worse, a fraud scam.

I can't fathom why you'd even worry how long a mod took to decide if "content" is actual spambot droppings.

I don't mind paying for something if it is a one off purchase and it actually delivers value for money, but for the most part, little on the net is actually worth paying anything for. There are a few exceptions.

If something is good, then word of mouth, so to speak, will sell the product. Spam usually, as Chuck has pointed out, indicates the product has some shortcomings. .
