Mute doesn't say or do alot. Instead of actually posting long, thought-out replies in a flame war, he uses his sig line, avatar and, sometimes, blog or journal to try to insult his rivals. He also ignores his opponents in other threads, or says how he disagrees with so and so. The phrase "actions mean more than words" holds true for this guy, and he takes those words to heart. His tactics usually have an effect on warriors that are quick to anger. Acne, Fanboy, Weenie and Inoccent Abused are only some of those who hate him. _________________ "First learn the rules of English. Then you can go about breaking it."

This is an interesting idea -- I have seen a few of these, like an acquaintance of mine who used the sig line "Hail Satan" to annoy the resident Deacon after being ordered by the mods to stop flaming him openly.
I think this is different from from Pictionary, who uses images as the primary means of communication, in that Mute uses text as well, as in signature lines, or attacks via blogs or other off-board locations. |

| I don't think so, he's flaming in an indirect way, not replying with short answers. |

Hrm. I think I know what she's talking about. These are really pompous asses who think they can get away with indirectly insulting people. They tend to be an annoyance at best, and in most forums their clever quips are erased every time they change signatures. _________________

Yeah, I've seen this. They either put "(username) is a (insult)" in their sigs or an offensive phrase, then try to act all innocent when someone gets upset.
Then there's the Fandom Wank journal where people insult fellow forumers on a highly trafficed website and think they won't hear about it. |

I've seen this, but to my experience it's rare. I used to be annoyed by it, but anymore I just dismiss it. _________________ I've got good news:

Yes, these warriors tend to go extinct because of their poor self-defense instincts and lack of suitible habitat. _________________
