Playing Caesar is a bit of a gamble, as tactics go. The warrior attempts to step back and judge the quality of remarks, usually to draw attention away from one's own abilities to attack. This is distinguished from the commonplace trashing of comments as the other person tries to put themselves above the battle. Rather than merely pointing out a comeback was lame, the warrior challenges smoeone to "do better than before" and simply says whatever comeback that returned wasn't any better.
This tactic is completely useless against someone who doesn't care if their enemy validates an insult.

Well the warrior also has to be weak to begin with to fall for it, but yeah I've seen this in the past. It seems to be a favorite attack of Me-Too.

| This tactic's main weakness is that it only works against warriors intent on some real diversion and intelligent discourse, not Ferrous Rebutters who would put the professional arguers of Monty Python's Argument Clinic to shame. |

Why would someone seeking intelligent discourse be distracted by someone trying to draw criticism from themselves with a implistic ploy? It's the opposite. This tactic is an attempt to get someone to defend their own insults or try to top them, rather than pointing out the self-appointed judge's decreasing ability to fight back.

I didn't avoid your question, I pointed out its hollowness. The issue is not if the insults are good. The issue is that someone is trying to play Caesar and pass judgement, thus excluding himself from having to participate. It is a very poor diversion.
As for originality, you've used far, far more redundancy than I have. Between making more masturbation jokes than an 8th grade sex ed class, you also seem fond of repeatedly claiming "loser gets the last word" while getting the last word, as I've pointed out to you every time you've done it.
As I owe you nothing, and what you're demanding is something you're incapable of producing, no you aren't in any position to demand/expect/request more of anyone else.

The issue is that one of the people is trying to escape a tedious circle of insults with no value whatsoever, while the other revels in it. If I'm so unoriginal and redundant as you claim, why would I be trying to elevate the disccusion, despite repeated and frenzied attempts by you and squeeker to drag it back to its original level? At least I'm trying new tactics and saying new things. All you've ever done is taken my latest post and commented on it. Who's redundant again?

You're trying to take the focus off of yourself, not elevate the discussion. Once it became clear you'd run out of ways to play the victim, you tried to shift attention to the fight itself, then how I was fighting it. That's not elevating, that's throwing out red herrings. Perhaps you'd like to claim everyone else started this, again? It was ineffective twice so far, maybe it'll work the next time you say it.

You've tried one new tactic in a week. Mostly all you do is pretend like anything said about you is dumb and fire off a one-liner that's a recycled version of your previous one-liners. As for quoting you, I'm merely siting what I am adressing. It makes the context clearer. If quoting what you're replying to is a tactic, then it makes you even less original for doing it since you're copying me.

I made one warrior and three tactics, while all you did was rewrite Tireless Rebutter and Lonely Guy into a masturbation joke, repeat the same joke, and made a drawing that was a complete ripoff of Lonely Guy. Your "original" art was a bad copy of existing art, jackass. That makes it unoriginal. By the way, I notice that it has abruptly disappeared from your photobucket account since you posted. That's not at all suspiscious.

I said from the beginning I would respond until you stopped. That means I wouldn't let you get the last word. There's no irony in the fact I held true to what I said. You're the only one who tried to make not getting the last word seem virtuous, and you couldn't even stick with that.

Not to get off topic, but the duelist classification makes no distinction of going between threads, only forums.
As far as I can tell, this battle rages across threads and ends up in whichever thread one or the other is posting under. Soon to take over the pope thread for sure.
I haven't read all the 'suggestions' but perhaps a sub-class of duelists would be proper here. Like 'chariot duelist' or some thing, for the range of the duel. |

We're not Duelists. The vast majority of the fight has been confined, this is a single fight rather than a fued, and Slashco hasn't limitted his attacks to me.

It's not a feud, it's a fight. Besides, I think you misunderstood why I said that. The definition of Duelists says they limit attacks to each other and people who get in the middle try to stop them.

I always though that what it meant when it said that they will only menace each other was that their attacks will only be heard by one another. Or rather if one duelist manages to make the other look stupid, it won't count for much because it will only really be seen by the other duelist.

I'd always thought deulists were two people who would relelntlessly attack each other across any public thread they saw the other on. The catch is, they limit their attacks to just that person. Well, unless anyone steps in between and tries calling them both idiots to make them stop. If they only attacked each other in private, the rest of the forum couldn't get tired of them to the point of having them banned.
