A once rare warrior, Finny is known by a variety of terms which has changed over the years from terms like, Iz Clever, to more recent times I R Dum, along with Lazy #@$, pompous windbag, and a variety of other terms that captures a warriors inability to respond with a normal text message and resort instead to making speeches via a link to a media file, hopefully a mp3 file, or typically a wav file, or a streaming video.
Finny's existence first emerged, be it a fleeting one, as a warrior being a bit of a show off and clever for being able to email a "sound" file. First they were dismissed as no one had the resources to download such a big file and knowing how to delete mail from the queue became important for a few. Eventually the worry of viruses prior to good email virus scanners meant no one ever bothered to open these files just in case. Finny more or less disappeared for a time.
However in recent times Finny has re-emerged stronger and more prevalent than ever, with services like youtub to stroke their own self importance and enabling them to narrate their replies along with billboard worthy captions. Finny doesn't have hands but fins which explains why they can't type very many words like normal people.
Finny is still a weak warrior because they are ignored for having fins for appendages, and there's nothing scary than a fish swimming around in their little glass box, ... tube ... whatever ... madly waving their fins at you, and if no one sees, no one knows, no one cares ... except other Finnies.

| Does that apply to a dude that answers threads with memetic image macros or gifs all the time? |

That would be Pictionary
Finny rather than write, uses most sound bites to respond, but these days services like youtub allows them to recite their yap as well as putting up some video or image or a few texty things, which is supposed to be mean something. Sometimes it's just a video which is open to interpretation ... but what warrior really cares to get that involved ... they just got clued in they are dealing with a fish.
Present time, getting Finny's response mostly involves downloading a large streaming video ... which takes time ... rather than Finny just using a couple of hundred words. Obviosly for some warriors, large streaming video files are way WORSE than something TLDR, and so those like myself just shrug and assume as they weren't smart enough to write ... and who cares, we're content if they want to be a big fish in their fish bowl. _________________ The important thing is knowing who owns the fence |

Jim Profit has elements of Finny... and I never bother to watch his videos.
I should do a YT video series, seeing as how everyone is doing them. I have a camcorder, but the charger is in hammerspace and I have no firewire cable.
Getting those things would require money, and I don't have much to spare. |

Making a mini documentary that proceeds to illustrate and demonstrate ideas and thoughts is completely different to someone sitting in front of a camera like a newsreader.
Jm does write though, even if it comes off like Deep Thought at times. He posts youtub stuff, but I don't bother to go and look.
Well at least of all you have a camcorder. _________________ The important thing is knowing who owns the fence |

Yes. Thing is, it probably wouldn't be much more interesting than Jimmy's:
-Picking fights with other Tubers (especially Jimmy)
-Ranting about Consumer Reports (for hiring enviro-losers instead of car enthusiasts to write about cars)
-Picking fights with half the talk radio hosts in America
-Ritual hate for bronies, along with overanalysis of their culture and the show they love so much (all with very obvious negative spin)
-Some blather about cars that most people probably won't understand
-Half-informed, borderline-Woo ramblings about current events
-More Brony hate
-Did I mention brony hate?
So, yeah, not much interest there.

Yes don't do that. That's mostly mindless and doesn't replace a well thought out flame.
Radio talk hosts ... most are plain uninformed. _________________ The important thing is knowing who owns the fence |
