It is quite common for a board to be very explosive during a revolution. However, sometimes a board can go in the opposite direction- very quiet. Appeal to Loopy is a method to test the overall condition of a revolution. The Rebel Leader makes a post that is not only completely out of character for himself but also makes no sense whatsoever. This will always generate a response from Royals, as they typically don't appreciate a Revolution. But what Appeal to Loopy is really looking for is any serious threats to the Revolution. Many warriors will see an Appeal to Loopy as a sign of weakness, and attempt to attack the Rebel Leader in the thread and/or associated threads. If there are no serious challengers to the Revolution at the time of the Appeal to Loopy, then the thread may generate a few jokes and teases before it simply fizzles.

I like it, but the name isn't fitting. How about Feigning Weakness? It is well-known that showing signs of weakness are a major cause of a shift in power among any quasimilitary group.

On my site I have a few trained "loopy" warriors we use them to fight off trollers, and spammers since the mods and admins left along time ago.
