Yep.
Take a look at Stereo Surgeon.
Turned a pretty tense discussion into the most epic flame war we've seen here at IDMF.

Whoaw... No introduction subforum here...
Well I'm Stay'n Alive, and I'm fascinated with how people deal with the limits of the text media. A toll observation forum will satisfy my needs, and with a bit of luck I may give you some interesting cases to review. |

Welcome aboard. Yeah, I've seen the Bin Laden is dead topic start up some flames myself. A bit of fresh flamebait is nice. It'll be nice to have some fresh sightings to look at. While you're at it, take a look at this guy here named Jim Profit. He's not much of a troll, but he's pretty much the only one here at the moment. And he's sporadic. _________________

Agreed.
I was getting tired of "Dubstep is the most awesome music in the world I love DATSIK and RUSKO and SKRILLEX!"
Quickly answered by
"GTFO fucking music nob Skrillex ins't even real dubstep".
Haha!
And yeah, I lurked a bit here while your fucking forum engine refused to let me subscribe lol...
Is it me or Jim is insane?
He's actally fucking interesting.
And, uh, I'm pretty faithful to my forums usually, and the one I'm on now is pretty peaceful, so for fresh stuff it might not be the best.
Anyways.
Thanks for the welcome. I'm feel I'm gonna have fun here.
Edit1: our moderation is weird. Threads disapear without traces, sometimes.
Edit2: I love Dilbert, hence think you sig in fucking kewl. |

Oh yeah, music forum wars. Got to love those. Yeah, Jim is a bit interesting, if only because he's a failure and a little irritating at the same time. I'm more interested in the guy named dl who posted recently. Reckon he's either a sockpuppet of Jim, or he's one of those pathetic groupies Jim was talking about. _________________

Man, some of those dudes are INSANE!
And, uh, yeah, I plead guilty.
I'm a run-of-the-mill dubstep hater.
Edit: speaking of hating...
P.Ali right there makes among the most dull, generic lifeless and devoided of groove music I'm ever heard. How the fuck did he got that contract offer? Is he just lying to get attention?

Just took a look at what dubstep was, and listened to it. It would be better if they didn't make it so repetitive, IMO. _________________

That's EXACTLY the point.
Dubstep used to be a super innovative and creative genre, and since several years, the amount of crap released has been phenonenal. Now, all tunes share the same retarded drum pattern, and all have the same predictable wobbling bass.
Fucking annoying. |

Yeah, the samples I listened to were from recently. One of them was by a guy named Shackleton. I wonder if he knows who he's named after. _________________

My friend, you listen to some pretty good dubstep, actually.
Then, the repetition issue is one of the characteristics of electronic music as a whole: we strive for the most perfect sonorities possible.
So yeah, arrangement and progression is just a bit left behind.
Meh. |

Yep, that one. Quite a fellow, a much better leader than Scott. That was good dubstep, eh? It wasn't bad, I just prefer psytrance. Won't slam electronic music in general because I like it. _________________

Ohhh, cool!
I don't know much, like, I burned the Goa mix on a CD and listen to it some times, but that's about it.
Older trance is fucking awesome.
Since like a couple of years it's fucking douche land, though. |

I wasn't there when it happened. Apparently this Flamingo was a real pain, and a lot of admin work was involved. Don't know the whole story, though. _________________

Welcome to the forum.
I read and I can see there's a bit of flaming going on in that thread but ...
I read one message ... it gave me brain hurt.
eg
| benwas wrote: |
Her: Oh doctor, I'm in trouble.Him: Well, goodness gracious me.
Her: For every time a certain man
Is standing next to me.
Him: Mmm?
Her: A flush comes to my face
And my pulse begins to race,
It goes boom boody-boom boody-boom boody-boom
Boody-boom boody-boom boody-boom-boom-boom,
Him: Oh!
Her: Boom boody-boom boody-boom boody-boom
Him: Well, goodness gracious me.
Him: How often does this happen?
When did the trouble start?
You see, my stethoscope is bobbing
To the throbbing of your heart.
Her: What kind of man is he
To create this allergy?
It goes boom boody-boom boody-boom boody-boom
Boody-boom boody-boom boody-boom-boom-boom,
Him: Oh!
Her: Boom boody-boom boody-boom boody-boom
Him: Well, goodness gracious me.
Him: From New Delhi to Darjeeling
I have done my share of healing,
And I've never yet been beaten or outboxed,
I remember that with one jab
Of my needle in the Punjab
How I cleared up beriberi
And the dreaded dysentery,
But your complaint has got me really foxed.
Her: Oh.
Her: Oh doctor, touch my fingers.
Him: Well, goodness gracious me.
Her: You may be very clever
But however, can't you see,
My heart beats much too much
At a certain tender touch,
It goes boom boody-boom boody-boom boody-boom
Boody-boom boody-boom boody-boom-boom-boom,
Him: I like it!
Her: Boom boody-boom boody-boom boody-boom
Him: Well, goodness gracious me.
Him: Can I see your tongue?
Her: Aaah.
Him: Nothing the matter with it, put it away please.
Her: Maybe it's my back.
Him: Maybe it is.
Her: Shall I lie down?
Him: Yes.
Her: Ahhh...
Him: My initial diagnosis
Rules out measles and thrombosis,
Sleeping sickness and, as far as I can tell,
Influenza, inflammation,
Whooping cough and night starvation,
And you'll be so glad to hear
That both your eyeballs are so clear
That I can positively swear that you are well,
Ja-ja, ja-ja-ja-ja.
Her: Put two and two together,
Him: Four,
Her: If you have eyes to see,
The face that makes my pulses race
Is right in front of me.
Him: Oh, there is nothing I can do
For my heart is jumping too.
Both: Oh, we go boom boody-boom boody-boom boody-boom
Boody-boom boody-boom boody-boom-boom-boom,
Her: Goodness gracious,
Him: How audacious!
Her: Goodness gracious,
Him: How flirtatious!
Her: Goodness gracious,
Him: It is me.
Her: It is you?
Him: Ah, I'm sorry, it is us.
Both: Ahhh! |
I am sure I'm more stupid just trying to read it ... and I gave up and skipped through it, obviously some corny stage lines from an old B&W. Only saw one comment to mock this rubbish ... means everyone is focused on the flaming ... which is good.
I would have gone back and read the first few pages but I may do so later on with opera and disallow any images whatsoever to let pages load in a timely manner.

Work? Not really. Not even a fraction compared to the spam I've had to remove every 8 hours or so when I can spend some time online to clean up this forum as a mere mod. The last couple of days since the storms in the U.S. went through, most bots have ceased action so I've some spare time for once as well as irritus getting around to removing both bots from medic-pills.org.
Flamingo was a Cry Baby/ Innocent Abused / Troller.
The forum is messed up. As it turns out, the one we shan't mention, was in fact a complete Luzer, eventually had a tantrum and deleted on mass many many posts of people they didn't like - irritus demoted them. Some of us (the members of the old guest book and earlier members of this forum,) knew in the first months the Luzer was a weak F'wit. The deletion on mass, shouldn't have come as a surprise to me, as I'd noted over months prior, the daily message count would go up from the night before, when I quickly checked without logging in, but when had a spare moment later on, the message count would often drop a couple from earlier in the day.
A backup was located, but it wasn't installed - the yahoo effect quickly came into play.
Edit I knew I had brain hurt when I wrote the above - stupid typoes _________________ The important thing is knowing who owns the fence

Yep just had a look through with opera no images. Heh Stero is I suppose is an Issues with a very polarised view of terrorism. Clearly they have no idea of what indifference is. _________________ The important thing is knowing who owns the fence |

Stereo also proved us in the past the he's a huge motherfucking DOUCHEBAG.
I don't know if he really is trolling, but he's constantly posting stuff that have fair chances of pissing off a lot of people on tha forum.
If I get a bit of time, I'l probably compile a bit of them. |

Yeah, what I said was only based on a few posts, and not the bulk of their activity. I really should refrain, but that's how the guy comes across, even on those few posts. _________________ The important thing is knowing who owns the fence |

I'm glad we finally have a reasonably active newbie who isn't stoned or trying to be an angry anarchist. Stay around, and by all means post new sightings to liven us up. |
