This tactic involves a warrior stating that all their posts to date are in the persuit of 'The Plan'. No one knows what this Plan is. It is doubtful anyone cares. It is even more doubtful that the warrior even has a Plan in the first place. But the warrior will continue to post references to their Plan in the hopes that more powerful warriors will become intimidated, and back off.
Use of 'I have a cunning Plan' succeeds only in amusing the forum. It will not escalate the warrior to the dizzying heights that are much desired. |

If you provoke her, she may just try an attack.
Then where would you be?
You'd have a broken, humiliated attention whore. _________________ Praise be!

I agree with Sutol.
Can we just leave Poison Lotus alone? She seemed awfully nice until she was provoked. _________________ URL signature removed due to lack of activity. |

Hello,
What if they really do have a plan? And what if it brings the forum to it's knees?
I once saw a very good example of this, but the thread was deleted... And the mods were far less tolerant of fun times after that.
Sincerely,

Details, please. Surely your insight would be useful.
Poison Lotus has been promissing to Godzilla this forum for a while with little merit to back it up. If there is a plan it is yet to be realized. |

Hello,
A powerful warrior may use the "I have a cunning plan" tactic to demonstrate control over the forum and/or to rub salt in the wounds of his/her enemies.
When I saw it used, the perpetrator commenced a series of actions outside of the forum while commenting on them in the forum itself, constantly referring to "the master plan". The forum went beserk and many turned on the moderators. All threads relating to "the master plan" had to be deleted in order to restore order.
Sincerely,
Super Crap _________________ I am a fugitive. My driver is the Liberty Maid. |

Sometimes people actually do have plans, personally I never reveal what they are until they have already been unleashed. Like trapping someone into contradicting themselves, or using weak attacks for a while so that when I unleash links solidly proving an arguement I can make them look stupid for avidly defending their position(though it only works if their position defies common sense or common knowledge). _________________ I've got good news:

...like everything you have ever said here? or are you referring to a different kind of "common sense or common knowledge"? |

I like to imply that my weak, self-contradictory attacks here were something other than they were: quick witticisms to stall for time. I really wish I could pull off a solid attack, but since I'm a troller I just take up offensive positions that don't make sense. |

Typically, announcing that you have "a plan" is usually stated by someone when their current actions are laughably pitiful.
Translation: "My current actions may appear to be stupid but just wait... you'll see that I was really clever." _________________

I would begin "Phase II" of my plan to rename my plan...
...but I cannot decide on which color tape to label it with. _________________

Exactly, the evil plan bit only works if you have unleashed said evil plan already and accomplished whatever choas you had aimed for. Then at least it would be believable. _________________

I don't have a plan. Every stupid thing I say stands alone in internet wasteland, never culminating in any grande scheme or victory.
I am the monkey who types forever, hoping to produce something of merit or intelligence.
Soon I will hatch my non-plan. I am the un-cola. _________________ If people only knew how hard I work to gain my mastery, it wouldn't seem so wonderful at all. |

I wouldn't be so happy about being the un-cola. remember, it never had it, and never will. _________________ There are three kinds of people: Those who can count, and those who can't. |

Actually, the "Uncola" is 7-Up, as per an advertizing campaign from the late 90's. Before you comment on my being the ungets-out-often, you should also consider I'm probably the unhas-something-to-lose. _________________

I was only going to mention something about a clean, refreshing, unspoiled taste. With a heavy Jamaican accent. _________________ There are three kinds of people: Those who can count, and those who can't. |

I do half-assed remember the campaign you were alluding to. Was it caffeine, or artificial flavor/color they meant?
I do fully recall the joke it spawned, tho: What do a nun and 7-Up have in common? _________________ "Proper capitalization is the difference between helping your Uncle Jack off a horse and helping your uncle jack off a horse." (shamelessly stolen from GAFF) |
